Bola Mosuro is a Nigerian journalist and radio broadcaster working for BBC News. Mosuro is one of the main presenters of Newsday on the BBC World Service.
Personal life[edit]
Mosuro was born in London and raised both there and in Lagos.[1] She earned a B.A. in Peace and Conflict studies from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland and is married with three children.
Career[edit]
Mosuro began her career as an editorial assistant for the BBC's quarterly magazine, Focus on Africa, in 1992. Since the early 2000s, Mosuro has presented BBC Network Africa, a breakfast programme broadcast every weekday airing African news, sport, music and features.[2] Mosuro also presents and produces the African news and current affairs radio programme, Focus on Africa. She co-produced The Story of Africa, a 21-part narrative history of the continent broadcast on the BBC World Service.
In 2014, Mosuro was part of the group of BBC radio staff which won a Radio Academy Award for Best Coverage of a Live Event for their coverage of the death of Nelson Mandela.[3]
