Ugbekile David Osemeke (born 10 May 2001), known professionally as Boy Spyce, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.
Early life
Osemeke was born on 10 May 2001 in Edo State, Nigeria. He was raised in Jakande Estate, Oshodi-Isolo.[1]
Education
Osemeke attended the Lagos State Model College Kankon, Badagry. During his time there, he represented the school in music competitions.[2]
Career
Osemeke began his musical career making[3] of popular songs and posting them on social media. The most successful of these was his cover of “Essence” by Wizkid. [4] The cover brought Osemeke to the attention of Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, who signed him for the label. On 23 April 2022, Osemeke released his debut[5] Boy Spyce EP. Osemeke was a singer on Mavin Records’ tenth anniversary single, “Won Da Mo”.[6]
