" Boyz" is the upcoming debut solo single by British singer-songwriter Jesy Nelson & American rapper Nicki Minaj, set to be released on October 8th, 2021 by Polydor Records.[1] as Nelson's first solo single since her depature from British girl group Little Mix in 2020. It samples American rapper Diddy's "Bad Boy for Life".[2]
Background and release[edit]
Nelson announced her departure from Little Mix in December 2020 due to mental health issues. She signed a record deal with Polydor Records a few months later Nelson hinted at a return in August 2021, saying: "This is the music I've always wanted to create. I don't think anyone is expecting this.
The song was announced on 18 August 2021 via Nelson's Instagram page. At the end of August, it was announced that the release of the song had been pushed back.[3] A teaser for the song was also released by Nelson and Minaj on 28 September.[4][5] on October 8th, Nelson took to her Instagram Page to announce the Album artwork [6]
