Brent Skoda
Brent Skoda (born 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States) is an inventor and American businessman,[1] founder and chairman of CollegeFitness.com, founding chairman of the board, president, corporate secretary and founder of Fyllo.[2] He was the Entrepreneurs Organization's 2010 Global Student Entrepreneur Award Laureate.[3]
Early life and education[edit]
Skoda was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1985, into an entrepreneurial family.[4] He started trading stocks in the fourth grade and later went on to found a series of business ventures beginning at the age of 16.[1][4] During high school, when Skoda was 16, he became VP of Sales for Joshen Paper and Packaging in Cleveland, Ohio, the second largest paper and packaging redistributor in the United States, and was responsible for landing the world's largest retailer, Walmart as a client.[4][5]
He graduated from the Texas Christian University (TCU) where he studied entrepreneurship, computer science and accounting and was recognized in 2017 by TCU’s Chancellor Dr. Victor J. Boschini, Jr. with TCU's Outstanding Young Professional Award.[6][7][8]

In November 2007, while studying at TCU, Skoda launched CollegeFitness.com,[9] an online interactive video-based health and fitness social network for college students.[10][7][11] In 2009, the business had revenue of $250,000. In 2010, he launched a customized version of the site for the University of Oklahoma named CrimsonFitness.com, University of Oregon, among other US colleges and universities.[12][13] Within the next two years, Skoda raised over $3 million[14][15][16] and secured partnership with Google.[17][edit]
CollegeFitness.com earned Skoda international recognition as a young entrepreneur and winer of the 2010 Global Student Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by the Entrepreneurs Organization and the Kauffman Foundation.[14][15] He was invited to serve as the United States Youth Ambassador in Algiers,Algeria, for the United States Department of State during the United States Maghreb Entrepreneurship Conference together with the United States Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, Jose W. Fernandez.[18][19] He spent the years to follow serving the US Department of State through his diplomatic involvement at youth entrepreneurship events held in Cairo, Moscow, Nice, Mexico City, Toronto, New York City, among others.
From this point forward, Skoda founded and led companies ranging from low-tech construction and roofing to high-technology intellectual property and manufacturing businesses.[4][15][5]
As an inventor, Skoda holds granted US and Foreign Patents with other inventions contained within patent filings currently in process with the USPTO and Foreign Patent Offices.[20] After years of research and development, Skoda secured a Granted Utility Patent for the Vaporization of Caffeine,[21] along with Granted Design Patents in the United States and Europe for the Unique Design of Skoda's Vaporizer.[22][23]
In 2019, Skoda became the Founding Chairman of the Board, President, Founder and Major Shareholder of Fyllo. Skoda designed and led Fyllo’s capital markets strategy successfully raising the initial seed capital and $16 million in funding to follow from JW Asset Management, K2 & Associates, Fountain Asset Corporation, Haywood Securities, and other leading institutional investors.[24] During 2020, Fyllo has raised an additional $10 Million in funding brining the total capital raised by the company to $100 million.[25][26]
Skoda has been recognized for his entrepreneurial ventures as a Featured Guest on Fox Business’ Varney and Company, by Forbes, Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur, Business Insider, Dallas Morning News, Fortune, among other media outlets.[4][12]
