Biography and career[edit]
At the age of 14 his mother started him into martial arts. He trained Taekwondo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Boxing, but his focus was Muay Thai and Kickboxing. He tourned pro after achieving 14-0 amateur record, mostly by KO.[1]
In 2012, fighting his third professional bout, he became WKA USA Heavyweight K-1 Rules Champion.[2]
He participated Road to Glory USA tournament, where he was surprisingly defeated in the finals by late replacement Dustin Jacoby. Although he didn't win the tournament, he impressed the Glory team by stopping first two opponents and signed for the promotion.[3]
Collette then fought at Glory 9: New York - 2013 95kg Slam in New York City, New York on June 22, 2013.[4][5][6] Rematching Dustin Jacoby in the quarter-finals, he lost by a close majority decision.[7]
