Career[edit]

Mohamed Amine is a former Glory (kickboxing) Fighter that made the transition from Kickboxing to MMA.

At the age of 16, Mohamed Amine made his amateur debut in the Dutch kickboxing scene, he fought multiple times in his first year, but an injury made him have to take a break for 3 years. After recovering from his injury, Mohamed joined Hemmers Gym in [Breda]] and immediately made his A-Class debut. His second professional fight was at GLORY, losing a decision. After this, he joined Mike’s Gym and fought a few more fights, after leaving Mike's Gym he trained himself for a while, and fought a few more fights without a team, he joined Gym Haarlem. His first fight for his new gym was in a 4 men WFL tournament, beating his first opponent, but losing a close decision against the seasoned veteran Raymond Bonte. He bounced back from this loss with a clear decision win against French Kickboxing ace, Abderahmane Coulibaly After this, he was again unable to fight due to personal troubles and the Corona restrictions for over a year.

When things turned back to normal, another tournament opportunity came along. The Road to ONE Championship. A 4 men tournament, where the tournament winner would receive a contract at ONE Championship. The first fight was a back and forth fight, but at the end, Mohamed's attacks damaged Cyril Cereyon so much, that the referee stopped the fight, awarding Mohamed Amine the TKO victory. Unfortunately, an accidental knee to the groin caused an injury, that bothered him in the final against K-1 veteran Tomas Hron. After a tough fight, Tomas Hron was awarded the judges decision and was pronounced the tournament winner.

After training multiple times with UFC light-heavyweight title contender Volkan Oezdemir, Mohamed Amine also made the transition from Kickboxing to MMA. In his first 4 fights, Mohamed scored 3 first round KO victories and 2 second round KO victory, earning him a title shot at AKIRA FC against the American MMA, Kickboxing, Boxing and Bare Knuckle boxing veteran, Leo Pla. After a 5 round slugfest, Mohamed Amine was the awarded the victory and is the current AKIRA FC Light-Heavyweight champion.
