Brian Tayan, MBA 2003, is an American author and a researcher with the Corporate Governance Research Initiative, part of CIRCLE | Centers and Initiatives for Research, Curriculum & Learning Experiences, at the Stanford Graduate School of Business & with The Arthur and Toni Rembi Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University.

His work focuses primarily on corporate governance, although he has also written cases in the areas of financial accounting, human resource management, operations, and strategy. Brian has co-authored a book on corporate governance in collaboration with Professor David F. Larcker, titled "Corporate Governance Matters: A Closer Look at Organizational Choices and Their Consequences" available from FT Press, and "A Real Look at Real World Corporate Governance."

Previously, Brian has worked as a financial analyst in the Office of the CFO at Stanford University and as an investment associate at UBS Private Wealth Management in San Francisco. He received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his BA from Princeton University.
