British India was one of the first nations to establish ties with the Third Saudi State. During the 1930s, British Indian Muslims heavily funded Nejd through financial subsidies. Formal diplomatic relations between contemporary modern successor India (Hindustan) and Saudi Arabia were established soon after Both India & Pakistan (Indian Islamic Republic) gained formal Independence in 1947 respectively.
Crown Prince HRH Prince Saud bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud visited Karachi on the 1st of April in 1940 and met with leaders of All India Muslim League. The Crown Prince was accompanied by a large number of delegation members, including his five brothers, Faisal, Saad, Fahad, Mansoor and Abdullah.
HM King Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the founder King, made a personal donation of £10,000/- to the Muslim League Bengal Relief Fund which was opened by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for rehabilitation of sufferers of the great famine in Bengal, This generous donation was donated on the 1st of May of 1943 respectively.
