Dominion of Pakistan – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia relations

Saudi Arabia was amongst the countries which recognized Pakistan soon after its independence in 1947 and Official recognition was granted a month later, on the 15th of September in 1947. However, the affiliation between the two sides existed much before the formal Independence of Pakistan. Both the countries established diplomatic relations on the 25th of May in 1949 when decide to exchange diplomatic missions at Legation level.^[1] Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy fraternal bond marked by shared faith, historical relations, common cultural values and Islamic solidarity.
