Brunello Rosa[1] is an Italian-British economist, co-founder and chief executive officer of Rosa & Roubini Associates.[2]

Rosa was born and grew up in Florence, Italy. He received his Bachelor of Science (BSc), Economic at Università degli Studi di Siena. He then studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he earned his master's degree in Finance and Economics.[3]

Career[edit]

Rosa co-founded Rosa & Roubini Associates with Nouriel Roubini, and served as CEO and head of research. He served as co-Head of Research and Managing Director for Developed Markets, G10 Rates and Currencies at Roubini Global Economics. He joined RGE from the Bank of England. He was a research assistant at the Financial Markets Group of the LSE.[3][4][5] He serves as president of Talanted Italians in UK (TIUK).[6]

Rosa appeared on Bloomberg[7][8] and CNBC TV programs.[9][2] He was also quoted on The New York Times, "the fact that they spend their salary in Italy doesn't really make a difference."[10] Global finance magazine, “It’s encouraging to see that the World Bank wants to make an extra effort to fight climate change by implementing a private-sector led initiative,”[11]

Academia[edit]

Rosa is a visiting Professor in the School of Policy and Global Affairs at City University of London, a visiting Professor at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of Bocconi University (Italy), and a lecturer in Executive Education at the London School of Economics.[12]

Rosa is also an associate (LSE) at the Centre For Macroeconomics.[13][12] and a research fellow of the City Political Economy Research Centre at City, University of London. He was a Research Associate at the Systemic Risk Centre of the LSE and Political Science. He was a research assistant at the Financial Markets Group of the London School of Economics.[12][14]
