Bryan Jay (born July 11, 1961) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and music producer.
Bryan Jay is best known for being the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of hard rock band Keel. Gene Simmons, vocalist/bassist of the shock rock/glam metal band KISS produced Keel's first two major-label albums The Right To Rock and The Final Frontier. Both charted on Billboard's Hot 100, as did their third self-titled major label album on MCA Records which was produced by Michael Wagener. The band toured domestically and internationally with the likes of Quiet Riot, Dio, Queensrÿche, Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe, and many others before disbanding in 1989. Jay and Keel drummer Dwain Miller went on to form the band Dogbone, with vocalist Eddie Saiz and bassist Rob Thiessen. When Saiz left the band due to personal reasons ex-Riot vocalist Rhett Forrester then replaced him. On January 22, 1994, Forrester was murdered in an attempted carjacking; he was 37 years old.
In 1998, Jay reunited with the original members of Keel to release their sixth studio album “Keel VI: Back in Action”.
Celebrating their 25th anniversary Keel reunited again for a show in Hollywood, California on January 24, 2009, with bassist Geno Arce replacing original bassist Kenny Chaisson. They remain active with occasional performances at events like Rocklahoma, M3 Festival, and the Monsters Of Rock Cruises.
In the late 2000s, Jay founded the music licensing company Digital Assassin Music that produced original music for television shows, promos, film, and other media.
