The Bryan White Foundation[1][2] is a private foundation founded by Kirumira Brian, a motivational speaker commonly known as Bryan White.[3] The foundation was formed in 2015 and was launched in Mbarara in 2018.[4] It is a non-profit organization with the aim of assisting impoverished people, especially adolescents, of Uganda through financial, agricultural, sports and health services.
History
The Bryan White Foundation was started in 2015 by the Ugandan motivational speaker Kirumira Bryan, also known as Bryan White. He started it with a staff of ten that included influential figures in Ugandan society like Radio & Weasel,[5] Jose Chameleone, Big Eye, King Michael, Maria Tinatinde, Cindy and comedians like Comedy Store Uganda's director Alex Muhangi, Madrat and Chiko. They assist and motivate impoverished youth in Uganda through donations and sponsorships. In 2018, they expanded to the second largest city in Uganda, Mbarara.[6]
Activities
Some activities that are being done by the Bryan White Foundation are performing charity work and donations[7][8] in hospitals to disabled mothers and children, and helping pregnant mothers in the hospital by providing basic equipment needed. The foundation also focuses on paying school tuitions for orphans and street kids, thus taking them back to school for a better future.[9]
