Bullock Cart Racing

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Bullock Cart Racing is a controversial sport practiced in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and the union territory of Puducherry. It is controversial due to forcing oxen who already do tiring labour in farming to race. The oxen are also abused by beating and being forcibly run by painfully pulling their reins. The racing was banned in Maharashtra in 2017, though still practiced illegally. [1] but later the Supreme Court lifted the ban in 2021. [2]
