Bumpai Chakraborty (born on July 25, 1986 is an Indian Film Editor, Film Director & Cinematographer.[1] He shoots and produces many of his films in his native Kolkata and India. He has directed successful and groundbreaking Bengali Films such as Status Updated in 2012, which was his first commercial hit, under his own production house.

He is also a lyricist and composer. His song 'Sugar Hobe' got released in Kolkata Book fair in 2016.[2] Bumpai has also worked with Indian National award winnng singer Rupankar Bagchi as a composer & lyricist for Rupankar's single Anek durey.[3] In 2016 Bumpai & Rupankar Bagchi the duo again tied up for their second song 'Elo agomonir din,[4] a song to celebrate the auspicious festival of Bengal-The Durga Puja.
