Business Today is an online news and information blog based in Nairobi, in Kenya. It was founded in 2012 by Kenyan journalist Luke Mulunda after he left Nation Media Group, where he was business editor. The website covers business, economics, money & markets, technology and media among other Kenyan-topics.
History[edit]
Since its launch in 2012, the site has grown in readership. The news website won two Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) awards,[1][2] in 2018,[3] and 2019.[4]
Ownership[edit]
In 2018, the holding company expanded its ownership to investors and equity in Business Today was sold to Dubai-based businessman Ricardo Badoer, who acquired a 75% interest in the portal.[5] Luke Mulunda continues to own the remaining 25 percent.
