Alfred Mombo Mbai (Born 10 February 1990), better known as[not in citation given] Alfred Mbai or @IamMbai,[1] is the Social Media Manager at Ecobank Kenya,[2] the Pan African Bank. Alfred Mbai[3] who was among the first Kenyan's to be verified on Instagram,[citation needed] serves as a Social Media Consultant for Kilimall International, an eCommerce company in Kenya. Prior to this, Alfred Mbai served as a Social Media manager for Churchill Africa, Global Oak Media and Glass House PR.

Mbai is the founder of Nijenge,[4] a body of young people which seeks to build Kenya by building and Inspiring the lives of young people in Kenya and Africa as a whole. In addition to this,Mbai is a member of Trends Team 254 and the Managing director at Mbai Communications and Media Services Ltd.

Besides Social Media, Alfred Mbai is a blogger and an Events Organizer. In 2015, Mbai organized and sponsored the Nijenge Campus Tour[5] which was aimed at imparting light[clarification needed] for Campus Students. Events at St. Paul's University[6] and Presbyterian University of East Africa[7] provided the turning point for Mbai to venture into consultancy.

Born in 10 February 1990 in Kapsabet, Nandi County, IamMbai[8] went to Nandi Primary School in Kapsabet, where he later moved to Kanvale Academy, Tigoni in Kiambu County. IamMbai attended seven high schools among them; Kerugoya boys high school, Kianyaga High School, Jossy Boys Secondary School and Gladphil international School where he did his Kenya Certificate of Secondary School – KCSE in 2009.
