Business service visualization
Overview
Business Service Visualization (BSV) provides a way to view the interrelated components that combine to deliver a business service. It allows end-to-end dependencies to be viewed dynamically using visualization software and uses data integration technology to retrieve information from a number of relevant sources.
BSV allows a number of different stakeholders to view relationships and information from different perspectives, perform impact analysis and make more informed decisions.
BSV vs. Point Solution Visualization
Traditional visualization of business services has been focused on specific domains such as Business Process Models and Change Management Databases. While these offer valuable specialized views, they do not provide the end-to-end views that are required to make holistic decisions. Business Service Visualization provides a self-service mechanism for professionals to understand how Business Services are supported by technology using advanced business intelligence visualization.
