C. S. Prem is an Indian film editor, who has worked on Tamil language films.[1]

Career[edit]

Prem first apprenticed as a film editor under veteran B. Lenin for seven years, and then worked with him as a co-editor for the long delayed Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal (2017) for Ayngaran International.[2] Having started his career as a solo editor for short films, Prem, made his debut with Netru Indru (2014). While editing a short film for actor Pavel Naganeethan, he became acquainted with director Bramma, who eventually gave Prem his breakthrough. He later worked on more popular films such as Bramma's Kuttram Kadithal (2015) and Magalir Mattum (2017).[3] Other films that Prem has edited are the art film Oattathoodhuvan-1854 (2015), Tubelight (2017) and A. R. Reihana's Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala (2018).[4][5]
