CGG Aviation Canada is a Canadian surveying airline based out of Ottawa.[1] The airline operates global surveys as its business model.[2]
History
The airline can be traced back to Terra Surveys in 1966, which was rebranded to Geoterrex in 1972.[3] In 1988, the airline was renamed Cargaard Aviation which was renamed to Fugro Aviation Canada in 2001.[3] In 2012, the company’s Geoscience Division was sold to CGG Aviation Canada.[4] In 2017, the Dash 7, among other aircraft, were phased out of the fleet.[1]

Accidents and incidents
- A CASA 212 flying a ferry flight from Ottawa to Goose Bay, to Narsarsuaq, to Reykjavik, to Nantes crashed in Reykjavik, killing all 3 occupants onboard. The cause of the crash was likely loss of control after a vital part failed.[7]
- C-FOZO was a Lockheed Lodestar that was flying a charter flight near Nanisivik in what is now Nunavut when the undercarriage collapsed.[8]
- In a geo surveying mission in Iran, the aircraft crashed near Manidar, killing all 3 people onboard.[9]
