Can Your Pet? is a parody game developed by the Korean developer, GameAde. The original game was developed as a short game for 48-hours in 2009 Global Game Jam[1] and published as a Flash game in 2009.

Gameplay and plot[edit]

The player introduces a little pet chick that allows you to name before you can do in six activities; customize, feed, shower, playing sports, playing video games, and bicycling. Although the game is lighthearted after only four activities were finished except the console did not highlight in the original, it proceeds to the bicycle instead. In fact, it turns the bicycle into a shredder and cutting a pet into pieces of meat, causing many players to shock in horror. In the end credits scene, it shows several images depicted animal cruelty involving chickens. However, although many players confused that you can pet the chick like a simulation game, it actually means stuffing your pet chick into a canned food as a pun found in the title at the end of the game.

Once it restarts after completed the game, it shows a bloodied title screen instead of a lighthearted one.

A sequel of the original game, Can Your Pet Escape, objects into an escape game with a factory mode that player allows the chick to escape from the fictitious main antagonist and his company's employees.[2]
