CarBay is an online autoportal, which started in March 2015 in various countries. The portal is a global expansion of CarDekho owned by Girnarsoft Pvt Ltd.[1]
History
Carbay was launched in India in 2015 in 25 different countries under the name CarBay.com.[2] It has officially announced to start operations in emerging markets of South Asia: Indonesia, [3] Malaysia, [4] Thailand, [5] Philippines, [6] and Vietnam.[7]
Funding
Carbay is owned by GirnarSoft who raised $50 million with a valuation of US$300 million in 2015.[8][9] The company is backed by investors including Sequoia Capital, Hong Kong-based Hillhouse Capital, Tybourne Capital and Google Capital.[10]
