CarReg Private Number Plates is a statutory corporation in England and Wales. Carreg is responsible for vehicle licensing and plates. The company specializes mostly in issuing customized plate numbers such as DVLA Number Plates, Private Number Plates etc.[1]

Carreg is a privately held corporation that was founded in 1987 by Jason Wilkes.[2] It is a subsidiary of the Classic Enterprises (UK) Ltd. Since 2001, CarReg's functions were registration and licensing of vehicle plate numbers with authority from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.[3] The company is also an authorized reseller of DVLA registrations and DVLA number plates supplier in England and Wales.[4]

Carreg has registered private plates and customized plates for celebrities like Prince Naseem Hamed, Kevin Keegan, Stephen Hendry, Sir Chris Hoy, Ally McCoist, Elizabeth Hurley, Hugh Grant, Declan Donnelly as well as Jefri Bolkiah. Carreg is reported hold the largest stock of single letter single number private number plates in the UK. The company offers customized personal license plates, cherished licensed plates, dateless plates. They also produce personalised license plate which is customized by name or brand initials as well as the cherished licensed plates also called dateless plates, first issued in 1903. The letter positions make these private plates expensive and desirable based on the arrangement.
