Company[edit]

CarCharging was founded in October 2009 with the purpose to develop and build out the electric vehicle charging infrastructure by installing, managing and maintaining electric vehicle charging stations throughout the United States and Europe. The company has installed, owns and operates stations in various states including California, Florida, Maryland, New York, and Virginia. In 2013 CarCharging completed the acquisitions of Blink Network, 350Green, Beam Charging, and EVPass.[3] CarCharging owns the Blink Network, and owns and operates EV charging equipment manufactured by Blink, Aerovironment, ChargePoint, Efacec, General Electric, Nissan, and SemaConnect.[4] Car Charging has strategic partnerships with companies across multiple business sectors including residential and commercial properties, parking garages, retail, and municipalities.[5][6]

Car Charging Group contracts with property owners for the charging stations and shares in revenue from their use. In 2013 Car Charging Group's net EV Charging service fees for the year grew nearly 1,860% from $16,743 to $327,971 with current monthly gross revenues of $95,797.[3]

In August 2017 the company changed its name to Blink Charging.[7]
