Carlos Hank González, was born in Mexico City (Distrito Federal) on (1971-09-01) September 1, 1971 (age 52), He holds a Bachelor´s degree on Business Administration and a Finance Specialty from Universidad Iberoamericana. He is Chairman of Board of Directors of Grupo Financiero Banorte (GFNorte), and Vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of Gruma and Managing Director of Grupo Industrial Hermes.

Carlos Hank is son of businessman Carlos Hank Rhon and Mrs. Graciela González Moreno. He´s also grandson of Roberto González Barrera (founder of de Gruma and Grupo Financiero Banorte) and professor Carlos Hank González (homonym).[1]

His career started during college when he began spending time in Interacciones Casa de Bolsa. being his first assignment to take orders on to the auction floor of Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV).

In 1997, he was appointed Managing Director of Interacciones Casa de Bolsa, and in 1999 he held the same position for Banco Interacciones. In 2000, he became the Managing Director of Grupo Financiero Interacciones.

During his leadership, between 2003 and 2012, Grupo Financiero Interacciones grew 1252% in financial income and 1182%.[2] its usefulness.

In 2008, he was also appointed as Managing Director of Grupo Industrial Hermes and in 2012 as Vice-chairman for Gruma.[3]

Grupo Financiero Banorte[edit]

In October 2014, Carlos Hank joined the Board of Directors of Grupo Financiero Banorte (GFNorte) replacing his mother Graciela González Moreno, who was appointed as Deputy Director.[4] On the same year, during an Extraordinary Meeting, Carlos Hank was ratified unanimously as Chairman of the Board of Directors of [5] starting on January 1, 2015.

On April 26, 2015 at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, with 95.7% of the shares represented, Carlos Hank González González was ratified as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Financiero Banorte. [6]

During his tenure GFNorte he attained the highest profit in a quarter in all its history, with 4,462 million pesos at closing of 1T16, which represented a profit increase of 15% when compared with the first quarter of 2015.[7]
