Carolyn B. Przekurat
Carolyn B. Przekurat served as chief dietician officer of the United States Department of Health and Human Services under United States Surgeon General Jocelyn Elders beginning in 1994.
Przekurat earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Utah and then studied at Walter Reed Medical Center. She then earned a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point.
Prior to her appointment with the DHHS, Przekurat was serving as a captain in the United States Navy. Przekurat is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
