Cashfree is an Indian payments company, headquartered in Bangalore, India. It provides payment gateway and API Banking services to online businesses.[1]

Cashfree was founded in 2015 by IIT Kharagpur graduate Reeju Datta and IIIT Hyderabad graduate Akash Sinha. It was initially registered under the trading name Pasfar Technologies Private Ltd and later renamed to Cashfree Payments India Private Limited in 2018.
Cashfree allows online businesses to accept and disburse payments through several modes like net banking, debit cards, credit cards, UPI, and digital wallets such as Ola Money Postpaid.[2]
The company was incubated by PayPal and was part of the 2017 summer batch of Y Combinator's startup program.[3] Cashfree raised $5.5 million in Series A funding led by Smilegate Investments, with participation from Y Combinator and other venture capital firms.[4]
Cashfree has integrated with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, and WordPress, and payment platforms like Amazon Pay, PhonePe, and Ola Money Postpaid.[5]
