Biography
Catalina Caraus is a leap year baby, born on the 29th of February, 1992, in Chisinau, Moldova, being the only child of Constantin and Mariana Caraus. She started singing and dancing at the age of 9 and studied piano for 7 years. Catalina moved to Cambridge when she was only 17 where she studied Media at Bellerbys College and then moved to London the following year to study Music & Drama at Kingston University.
Career
Catalina started her singing career at the age of 15.
In 2010 she launched a new version of Vanessa Paradis' song "Joe le taxi" and it became her first international hit.
In 2012 Catalina collaborated with the famous Moldovan composer Eugen Doga by adding lyrics and voice to the already known waltz "My sweet and tender beast" and it became the most loved and popular first dance wedding song in Moldova.
In 2017 she played the role of a princess in the Hollywood production The Black Prince.
In 2019, after a few years’ break she debuted as a singer/songwriter with "You chose".
