The Caterpillar 3208 is a turbocharged 10.4-liter V8 diesel engine manufactured by Caterpillar, introduced in 1975. It was discontinued in 1999 due to its low fuel efficiency and lack of compliance with internal combustion exhaust emission laws, which were due to come into force.[1]
