Catz 'n Dogz are two DJs and electronic music producers: Grzegorz Demiańczuk (Greg) and Wojciech Tarańczuk (Vojtek). They come from Szczecin, where they met and began their musical careers. In 2003 they played at Szczecin's ABC radio station, after work they organized small parties focused on modern club music.[1]
They have earned their current careers - for several years their DJ sets have been filling the best clubs around the world, and a succession of excellent releases (albums and EPs) have been appearing in the catalogs of the most important labels for dance culture. Their first two albums were collaborations with Claude Van Stroke and his labels: Mothership i Dirtybird,in which were published: „Stars Of Zoo” i „Escape From Zoo”.
Catz 'N Dogz also produce remixes for such iconic figures of the club scene as Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Steve Bug, Kings Of Leon, Roisin Murphy, Claptone, Disclosure or Danny Tenaglia.
In 2020, they released their songs for the iconic British label Defected Records and debuted at the famous Diynamic label lead by Solomun.
The duo's album output includes 5 titles. 6 years ago, "Basic Colour Theory" appeared on the scene, showing the versatile production talent of Wojtek and Gregory, who invited, among others, to the recording session: Peter Bjorn, Green Velvet and Natalię Przybysz. Meanwhile, their fourth longplayer - from two years ago - "Friendship" was released on their own Pets Recordings label. The album also features musical guests - including Polish artists: young soul singer Rosalie. and a sensation of the polish hip-hop scene – Taco Hemingway. The aforementioned label - Pets Recordings has been around for a decade. Artists such as KiNK & Rachel Row and Eats Everything have recorded for it.
Catz 'n Dogz never forgot their roots and also through PETS ( and the STEP sub-label) published - and thus promoted worldwide - many Polish producers. Among them were releases by such artists and projects as Pol_On, Viadrina, SLG, Adam Zasada, Kixnare.
Pandemic 2020 has, of course, been a lack of club activity since March, but C'ND's creativity has found its outlet in the form of the recording of a superb album "Moments," unique in sound. This atmospheric and very unusual for the duo features music produced during a lockdown - this album is a kind of journey through self-awareness, charged with emotion - using mellow, downtempo vibes to overcome the difficult time of the global crisis.
Catz 'n Dogz have been a presence on the global music scene for 15 years-throughout that time they have appeared on the covers of prestigious magazines such as Mixmag and DJ Mag Spain, high places in the polls Resident Advisor Top 100 DJ, DJ Mag’s ‚Top 10 Albums’ i ‚Best Track’ na WMC Awards.
