Cause to Wonder
Cause to Wonder is a nonprofit organization that helps introduce notions of health, conservation and human rights issues in remote areas.[1] Preliminary version of the organization called Under the Wonder was first introduced to the public on CBC Canada, Dragons' Den (Canadian TV series).
In 2010, Cause to Wonder conducted a first pilot research trip to test theories and methods in Papua, New Guinea[1]. The research trip was considered a success and Cause to Wonder filed for and were granted a 501(c)(3) organization (non-profit) status in 2011.[1]
“What Have You Got to Lose” gang prevention program presented at 11 high schools in the Virgin Islands [2][3]. The program inspired a television commercial that aired in the Virgin Islands during the Super Bowl[4]. The public service announcement was awarded a Tilley Prize[1].
January 2012 – 2015 participated in three fundraisers for Hope for Limpopo[5] raising over $27,000 for career day school programs, education, meals, transportation and medication for HIV positive children at elementary schools in the Caribbean on St. Thomas and St. John [6][1]
Cause to Wonder partnered with Mozambique Manda Wilderness[7] trust to create “A Clean Lake is a Happy Life, Wonder Tour” program which introduced water conservation to the people of lake Malawi[8]. Commissioned a Measures and Impact Report 18 months after the Mozambique “Wonder Tour” to assess the results of the mission[8]
In February 2014 the International Brotherhood of Magicians featured Cause to Wonder on the cover of The Linking Ring magazine.[1]
