Celebrity Fan Fest (or CFF) is an annual pop culture convention held in San Antonio, Texas, featuring appearances by stars and celebrities. CFF[1] is a three-day event (Friday-Sunday), most recently held during the summer[2] at the Freeman Expo Halls and Coliseum in San Antonio. The pop culture convention features film and television actors, comic creators, illustrators, vendors and artists. Celebrity Fan Fest also features meet and greets, photo and autograph opportunities, gaming and VR attractions, music performances, celebrity panels, kids entertainment, and more. Attendees have the opportunity to see the “CARS as STARS” showcase which includes over 25 iconic Hollywood vehicles.[3]
History[edit]
CFF was founded in 2018 by Bob Wills of PMX Events[4], an entertainment company in San Antonio, Texas. Bob Wills, PMX Events President and Chief Listening Officer, has been studying comic cons since 2015 and organized a two-day comic con on November 10-11, 2018. In its first year, CFF secured appearances by American celebrities Ben Affleck[5], Jason Momoa[6] and Ray Fisher. The second year brought a big lineup of Marvel and DC character appearances including Jeremy Renner, Amber Heard, Anthony Mackie, Benedict Wong and Lee Pace. Three months later, CFF launched its first “Preview Con” where fans could get free pictures and autographs from stars including Lindsay Wagner and Brandon Routh. CFF is set for a fourth event June 11-14, 2020.
