Centaur (chess)

The centaur is a fairy chess piece that may move like a mann or a knight. The centaur royal is a variant of the centaur that is subject to check and checkmate.[1]

The centaur may move to any adjoining square or leap to any nearest square not on the same rank, file, or diagonal. It may capture an enemy piece in the same way.
