Wizard (chess)
The wizard is a fairy chess piece created for Omega Chess, a commercial chess variant created in 1992.
Movement[edit]
The wizard combines the movements of the camel and ferz, making it a leaper,[1] as well as a compound. As it is a leaper, it jumps over any pieces in the way. Like the bishop, this piece is colorbound, meaning it can only be on one color of square.[2]

It is also similar to the bishop in that it is colorbound - that is, it is confined to all squares of the same color.

The Wizard moves one space diagonally or leaps to a space one file and three ranks away or three files and one rank away. It is a compound of the Ferz and the Camel. It was introduced in Omega Chess, and it moves the same as it does in that game.
