Central Florida Panthers SC is an American soccer team based in Orlando, Florida. It plays within the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), a national amateur league at the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the South Region's Sunshine Conference.
History[edit]
The National Premier Soccer League announced Central Florida Panthers SC as an expansion team on January 4, 2019.[2][3] The team would begin play in the 2019 NPSL season within the South Region’s Sunshine Conference alongside teams such as Miami FC, Miami United FC, and Naples United FC. The organization itself had been founded one month prior as Central Florida Soccer Club.[1]
The team has a partnership with the Central Florida Soccer League, an adult amateur soccer league located in the Greater Orlando area that is affiliated with both the Florida State Soccer Association and the United States Soccer Federation.[4][5][6]
The Panthers won their first game on May 22, 2019, in a home match against Storm FC, 4-2.[7][8] Former Orlando City B player William Eyang scored twice while Niall Coulthard and Shaoschi Etienne both scored a goal each.
