Cesar Apolinario was a Filipino broadcast journalist, TV host and movie director.
Early life[edit]
Born Cesar F. Apolinario, Jr. on May 11, 1973 in Luna, La Union.
Educational Life[edit]
In 1987-1991, he studied in E. Rodriguez High School in Quezon City. In 1998, he graduated with Mass COmmunications degree from University of Santo Tomas, in City of Manila.
Career[edit]
He stared in first job as a waiter in Jollibee (1989-1991). Then moved to Jasmis Corporation (1991-1994). According to his Facebook page, Apolinario first worked with Radio Philippines Network (RPN-9, now CNN Philippines), for the public service program, “HelpLine sa 9”. He later moved to his present network, GMA, in 1999, initially for the documentary, I-Witness. In 2001, he won a silver medal for the program in the New York Festival. That year, he also became a contributor for CNN. He later ventured into film in 2007, as he wrote the script for the film “Banal”, which was an entry into the Metro Manila Film Festival 2007, where he won best director and best story.

Film director and broadcast journalist Cesar Apolinario has died on Friday, December 13, 2019 of lymphoma. He was 46. Before his death, Apolinario was a reporter and a senior news producer with GMA News. He had also co-hosted the lifestyle program “IJuander", alongside Susan Enriquez.
