Chae Hyung Won (born January 15, 1994)[1], better known by the mononym Hyungwon, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and model. He is a member of South Korean boy group Monsta X, formed during the 2015 Mnet survival show No Mercy.[1]
Career
Before debut, Hyungwon was a model.[2] Hyungwon became part of Monsta X in 2015 after the Mnet survival show No Mercy[3] and released the single "Interstellar" on February 11, 2015 with Jooheon, and I.M, featuring Yella Diamond[4] He is also featured on the single "Hieut" released on February 26, 2015 starring Nochang, Vasco, and Junggigo along Shownu, Minhyuk, Yoonho and #Gun of No Mercy.[5] Monsta X's Hyungwon modeled on the Runway of SS 2016 Seoul Fashion Week for fashion brand MÜNN. Hyungwon has worked as a model for the fashion label LITMUS, promoting them since debut after Monsta X signed an endorsement deal with them.[6]
