Chair Warriors — canadian melodic rock group, was created 2009 year in city Montreal, Canada.

History of group[edit]

Chair Warriors formed in 2009 and has become a fixture of the Montreal rock music scene. Consisting of Brandon Mignacca (vocals/keys), Robert Flis (Guitar), and Gopal Devanathan (Drums) the band has played hundreds of shows across Quebec and Ontatio and opened up for notable acts I Mother Earth, The Joy Formidable and Jeff Martin of The Tea Party.

Chair Warriors have opened up for notable acts “I Mother Earth”, "Jeff Martin (The Tea Party)" and “The Joy Formidable” and as winners of Global TV's “Can Your School Rock?” in 2010, the band recorded their debut EP "A Thousand Words" in 2011 with Glen Robinson. The group followed up with 2 songs ("Saviours" & "Liars") in 2013/2014, both of which have videos online.

The group released their new EP entitled “Dawn of Edo” in the fall of 2017 on all digital platforms as well as in several locations of Sunrise Records in the Greater Montreal area.

Chair Warriors are currently working on a new full-length album from which the first single "BADWORLD" was released in the spring of 2019 to offer a glimpse of new material to come.

The band are winners of Global TV's “Can Your School Rock?” 2010, and were also featured on Global News Morning Montreal for an interview and LIVE in-studio acoustic performance on June 22, 2017.

Concerts[edit]

Chair Warriors have played over 150 shows in and around their hometown of Montreal as well as in Quebec City, Ottawa and has also performed at both the Mod Club and Opera House in Toronto. Singer/Keyboardist, Brandon Mignacca, competed in this year’s LA VOIX 5 (The Voice) and successfully made it to the quarter-finals. He was called back for both the LIVE semi-final and final episodes which aired on TVA, performing two group songs accompanying last year’s winner, Stephanie St.Jean, as well as notable Quebec folk-rock duo, 2Freres. All of Brandon’s performances are on Youtube with ~ 600k views combined (and counting).
