The Chakma alphabet (Ajhā pāṭh), also called Ojhapath, Ojhopath, Aaojhapath, is an abugida used for the Chakma language and which is being adapted for the Tanchangya language.[1] The forms of the letters are quite similar to those of the Burmese script.

The script is included in Unicode version 6.1.0.[1] “Version 6.1 of the Unicode Standard continues the Unicode Consortium's long-term commitment to support the full diversity of languages around the world.”* Among others Chakma script have been added (11100..1114F). The standard is not enough—people need the font to write. First Chakma Unicode released by Rebeng IT Solution Ltd. RibengUni font, see: http://uni.hilledu.com/download-ribenguni/, designed by Bivuti Chakma (Suz Moriz) & Jyoti Chakma a [Bangladesh] with assistance of Jan Żurawski [Poland]. The font is released under SIL Open Font License. Latin part is adopted from the other OFLicensed font released recently. The script is included in Unicode version 6.1.0.[1][2] A Chakma Unicode Font was developed and released on 6 October 2012.
