Champo (also known as Champu) is a village in India, in Balasore district in the state of Odisha. The village is 6 km from Soro and 40 km from Baleshwar.

Demographics

As of 2011 Indian Census, Champo had a total population of 807 of which 412 were males and 395 were females. Population within the age group of 0 to 6 years was 110. The total number of literates in Champo was 558 which constituted 80.06% of the population with male literacy of 88.64% and female literacy of 71.30%. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes populations were 392 and 0 respectively. Champo had 173 households in 2011.[2]
