Chancellor House Holdings
Chancellor House Holdings is a South African privately[1] held investment company which was used as a front for the ruling African National Congress.[2][3][4]
In August 2015 Hitachi agreed to pay a $19 million penalty settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Hitachi is accused of inaccurately recording improper payments to African National Congress via Chancellor House Holdings in connection with contracts to build two multi-billion dollar power plants.[5][6]
