Chanchalapathi Dasa (born 1963) is an Indian spiritual leader and co-founder and Vice Chairman of Akshaya Patra Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides mid-day meals to school children across India.[1][2] He is also the Senior Vice President of ISKCON Bangalore[3][4] and the President of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, a cultural heritage project aimed at building the tallest temple dedicated to Lord Krishna in the world.[5]

He is also a public speaker and a writer who has delivered talks and contributed articles on topics related to leadership, spirituality, and philosophy.[6][7][8]

Biography

Chanchalapathi Dasa was born in 1963 in Bangalore, Karnataka. He came across the teachings of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada while pursuing his studies at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science and became interested in his mission. As he gained a deeper understanding of Srila Prabhupada’s philosophy and ideals, he dedicated himself fully to the Krishna consciousness movement. He joined ISKCON Bangalore in 1984 and has been serving society since then.

As a full-time dedicated missionary of ISKCON Bangalore, he has conceived various spiritual, cultural, and social projects and initiatives. He has co-founded The Akshaya Patra Foundation and directs the strategy, growth, and governance of the organization. He has been contributing to addressing classroom hunger across the country through Akshaya Patra’s school lunch program.[9] He has also led the organization’s food relief activities in India and abroad during emergencies like natural disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic, and wars.[10][11][12]

He is the President of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, the upcoming cultural heritage tourism infrastructure project in Vrindavan poised to become the tallest temple of Lord Krishna in the world.

Chanchalapathi Dasa played a pivotal role in the creation of Little Krishna, an animation series, contributing to story research, script direction, creative design, and overseeing the project’s overall operations.[13]
