Gaur Gopal Das (also known as Gaur Gopal Prabhu[1]) (Hindi: गौर गोपाल दास) (born 24 December 1973) is an Indian spiritual leader, a lifestyle coach and a motivational speaker and is part of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) since 1996.[2][3] He has been a Bhakti Yoga practitioner, a spiritual teacher, and a monk at ISKCON Chowpatty, Mumbai.[4] He is the disciple of Radhanath Swami.[5] He is One of the most popular monks and life coaches in the world.[6][7] He was also invited as a host speaker to a International techfest conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay which was held from December 14-16 in 2018 along with Dalai lama.[8] His motivational videos are viral having reached around 500 million views across various social media sites and web.In 2018 he was awarded ‘The Ideal Young Spiritual Guru Award’ by the Indian Student Parliament, MIT Pune for his remarkable contributions in offering spiritual guidance to the world at such a young age.[9] In 2018, he was honoured with Doctor of Letters (D.Litt) by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology In recognition of his outstanding and distinguished personality, and motivating skill to make people think logically with reasoning.[10][11]

Early life and education[edit]

Gaur Gopal Das is born on 24 December 1973 in Maharashtra, India. After completing his school education, he went to the College of Engineering, Pune and graduated in 1995 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After completion of his bachelor's he worked as an Electrical Engineer at Hewlett Packard. In 1996 he left Hewlett Packard and joined ISKCON and was later initiated into Brahmacharya by his guru Radhanath Swami.[12][13][14] He is now a Bramachari at Radha Gopinath Mandir, ISKCON Mumbai.[15]

Speeches[edit]

Gaur Gopal Das is a renowned life couch. He had given speeches at leading companies including Google (head office), Apple, Ford, Infosys, Microsoft, Barclays, Rotary International and Lions Club. He also gave speeches at several TEDx events, and universities across India, the United Kingdom and the United States for over two decades.He also delivered a talk at the British Parliament in 2016.[16]
