Chanel O'Conor is the stage name of Conor MacDonald,[1] a Scottish drag performer who competed on the sixth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.[2][3]

Career

Chanel O'Conor is a drag performer and clothing designer. She competed on the sixth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.[4][5][6] Prior to appearing on the show, she had made outfits for drag performers including series 2 contestant Lawrence Chaney.[3] On the fourth episode, Chanel O'Conor performer "Dead or Alive" as part of the girl group Dracula's Child, alongside Actavia, Kyran Thrax, Marmalade, and Zahirah Zapanta.[7] She impersonated Coco Peru for the Snatch Game challenge.[8][9] She placed in the bottom of the challenge and lost a lip-sync contest against Rileasa Slaves to "Something Kinda Ooooh" (2006) by Girls Aloud. Chanel O'Conor placed eighth overall.[10]

Personal life

Originally from the Isle of Bute, MacDonald is based in Manchester.[3] MacDonald uses the pronouns she/her in drag and he/him out of drag.[11][12]
