ChatGPT Plus is a subscription service for ChatGPT and is owned by OpenAI.[1][2] The subscription currently provides access to the GPT-4 model of OpenAI.[3][4]

ChatGPT was initially launched as a research preview with the aim of identifying the system's strengths and weaknesses, as well as collecting user feedback for further improvements.[5]
Following its launch, millions of users provided feedback, leading to numerous significant updates.[5] The platform has been utilized in various professional contexts, such as content drafting and editing, idea generation, programming assistance, and topic exploration.[5]

The service provides subscribers with consistent access during peak usage, accelerated response times, and preferential access to new features, including GPT-4 and forthcoming ChatGPT plugins.[6]
Availability[edit]
Initially, it was launched in the US only.[9] In February 2023, it was launched in Germany[10] and in March 2023 in India.[11]
