Cheikh Anta Diop is an abstract digital painting, a titled artwork sharing the same name of iconic Senegalese anthropologist Cheikh Anta Diop, a painting created by multidisciplinary designer Ade Olufeko, known for his contributions to african themed graphic design.[1]
Debut[edit]
In 2014, Olufeko a first-generation Nigerian American was invited to speak to audiences on business topics and the creative arts, at the 16th Annual Africa Business Conference at Harvard Business School.[2][not in citation given] Following the conference lectures a solo exhibition to the Cambridge public showcased new artworks created by Olufeko, the Diop painting anchored the collection.[citation needed]

The artwork resurrecting the iconic figure as a subject has been referenced by scholars and cited online by various Francophone and English intellectuals familiar with Anta Diop's place in history.[1]
