Chelleli Kaapuram is a Telugu language television series airing on Star Maa from 29 June 2020 to present. It stars Sireesha, Madhusudhan and Jaya Harika in lead roles.
Plot[edit]
Bhoomi is the happy-go-lucky little daughter of Madhava, a middle-class man. Bhoomi and her parents celebrate the birth of Bhoomi's younger sister Manasa but tragedy strikes them after the death of Bhoomi's mother Bhavani. To provide a mother to his children, Madhava reluctantly remarries Neelambari, who turns out to be a cunning woman. Neelambari conceives and delivers Pournami and Madhava suspects whether she would take good care of Bhoomi.
After 20 Years[edit]
Madhava's children are grown up and they live together in Hyderabad. Madhava has a son, Praveen from Neelambari. Bhoomi took up the responsibilities to ends the meet and educate her siblings after her father Madhava becomes wheel chair bound after an accident. Pournami is as cunning as her mother Neelambari and they together exploit Bhoomi's kindness. Pournami plans to marry Sunil, her collegemate, who is the adoptive son of affluent businessman Ram Mohan Rao and his wife Vasundhara. However, Sunil and Manasa love each other and Sunil and his family accepts for a proposal from Madhava's family in an apparent misunderstanding, assuming the bride to be Manasa. When the truth gets revealed, Pournami becomes infuriated and plays a suicidal drama and Bhoomi promises to be unmarried until Pournami gets married.
Ram Mohan Rao's biological son Avinash falls into a trap of Pournami and proposes her, who wants to take over Ram Mohan Rao's properties and take revenge on Manasa and Sunil. Avinash conveys Pournami about his inconvenience of getting married until his mentally unstable elder brother Akash gets married. Akash's aunt Rajyam observes change in Akash's behaviour, whenever he spots Bhoomi and she plans to get the married. The two families learns about Pournami and Avinash's budding love and decides to get them married. Taking advantage of the situation, Rajyam blackmails Pournami to get Bhoomi and Akash married if she wants to marry Avinash. Playing a suicidal drama, Pournami compels Bhoomi into accepting her marriage with Akash much to the inconvenience of Madhava and Manasa, who does not wants Bhoomi to marry a mentally unstable man.
However, Bhoomi goes on with the wedding rituals and get married to Akash while Avinash and Pournami get married at the same time. After marriage, Bhoomi begins to befriend a friendly and naughty Akash and falls in love with him. Bhoomi begins to be an ideal daughter-in-law to the family and gains importance in the family sowing a seed of jealousy in Rajyam's mind. Using the situation, Pournami turns Rajyam against Bhoomi. It is revealed that the family is hiding about Akash's mental condition to their business partners and business people but the business partners demands for Akash's signature in exchange of a prestigious construction project, which is Ram Mohan Rao's dream project.
As Akash is not in position to sign, Ram Mohan Rao becomes tensed and has a panic attack. Without the knowledge of the family, Pournami forges Akash's signature and the family believes that they got the project because Pournami convinced them. Pournami gains impression and becomes the tentative CEO of the company and she begins to exploit the company's funds for her own uses without informing the family. She continues to trouble Bhoomi but Manasa becomes like a shield to Bhoomi, who believes Pournami to be innocent. Ram Mohan Rao and his wife Vasundhara leaves to America for his surgery handing over the responsibilities of house to Bhoomi and Rajyam. Bhoomi and Akash meets with an accident and Akash's health condition gets critical creating tension for the family. Rajyam blames Bhoomi for Akash's health condition but he recovers and the doctors confirm that Akash's mental condition will be improved time by time due to the accident. Hasini, Akash's love interest before the accident returns to Hyderabad and manages to secure a job in Ayurvedic hospital. Bhoomi decides to consult the Ayurvedic hospital (in which Hasini works) to improve Akash's mental condition.
Rajyam refuses after Pournami instigates her by telling that Ayurvedic treatment can make matters worst. However, with the support from family, Bhoomi takes Akash to a hospital, which he believes to be a resort. Hasini does not spot Akash while Pournami creates fear in Akash's mind bribing a staff in the hospital. Bhoomi takes Akash back to home and Rajyam blames her for Akash's growing fear of water. Bhoomi, without the knowledge of Rajyam uses a medicine for improvement in Akash's health condition. As Akash's mental condition begins to improve, Pournami seeks help from her aunt and Neelambari's elder sister Neelaveni who begins staying with Ram Mohan Rao's family as a guest. Neelaveni succeeds in her plan and replaces the medicine with a poison, which makes a person's mental condition worst. Thanks to the poison, Akash begins to fear for everything and react in a bad manner for everything creating a suspicion in Bhoomi's mind.
