Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home is a cemetery, crematory, and funeral home in Lodi, California.[1] Cherokee Memorial Park was founded as the second cemetery in Lodi in 1940. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home was founded in 1998.[1]
History[edit]
On May 20, 1940, a local group of businessmen formed the Cherokee Memorial Cemetery Group.[2] The group met opposition at a May 23, 1940 meeting regarding traffic hazard concerns, yet still continued incorporation.[3]
The Vietnam Memorial "Moving Wall" visited the cemetery in 1986, drawing hundreds of visitors to Lodi, California.
