Flower in Ear - "Mockery") is a 1990 Telugu-language comedy film, produced by K. Ashok Kumar under the Sri Usha Art Productions banner[1] and directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana.[2] It stars Rajendra Prasad and Seetha ,[3] with music composed by Chakravarthy.[4] The film marked the directorial debut of E. V. V. Satyanarayana as a director, which is recorded as a flop at the box office.[5]
Plot[edit]
Prasad (Rajendra Prasad) an unemployed post-graduate who suffers from sleepwalking. During the time of his maternal uncle's (Sakshi Ranga Rao) daughter's wedding, Prasad unknowingly walks into the bride's room. At that moment, the bridegroom Paramatma (Tanikella Bharani) suspects an affair and demands Rs.20,000 as compensation. As a result, Prasad reaches the city to earn money and carry various petty jobs. Thereupon, he is acquainted with a beautiful girl Anupama (Seeta) who comforts him with a govt job and required amount. At the office, he develops an affinity with his colleagues' Manager Venkateswara Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao), Satti Babu (Subhalekha Sudhakar), Anjaneyulu (Brahmanandam), Srilakshmi (Srilakshmi), Peon Appa Rao (Mallikarjuna Rao). Prasad loves Anupama and decides to marry her despite he learns that she is a widow. Just before the wedding, Prasad was told by the doctor he was terminally ill. So, he breaks the wedding by falsifying as an imposter when Anupama loathe him. Thereafter, Prasad realizes that he is far remote from the disease which has happened because of the transpose of reports. Immediately, he rushes for Anupama, by the time, she leaves the town. Years roll by, Prasad is still awaiting Anupama's arrival. To his surprise, she returns as his higher official and was shocked to see her as a married woman. She was on an inspection duty on their office for few days. Prasad acts as if he was married too, so not she doesnot feel bad if she found out he was still in love and waiting for her. However, on the day of her departure, she finds out the truth and meets Prasad and confesses that she is still unmarried. Eventually, they get married.
