Chief Alex Ajipe (born 7 May 1978)[1] is a Nigerian businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.[2] He is the MD/CEO of Klick Konnect Networks and Revenue & Industrial Consultant to Ondo State Government. He was a Panelist at the 74th United Nations General Assembly business round table in New York[3]
Early Life And Education[edit]
Alex was born in Emure-Ile, Owo, Ondo State. He is a graduate of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) and Cologne school of Business, Germany where he bagged a diploma in project management. He later bagged a doctorate degree in Business administration and management at the West African Union University Cotonou, Benin Republic.[4] He is married to Kehinde Ajipe, with whom he has three children
Career[edit]
Ajipe leads a number of organizations, including MVB Construction Co. Germany, We Farms Limited, Rural Urban Integrated Project Limited and Klick Konnect Networks, an international PR agency based in Nigeria.[5]
Alex Ajipe has served as a consultant to the Nigerian government in different fields including Ministries of Natural Resources and Sport and Youth Development, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency as well as the Ondo State Development Investment and Promotion Agency[6]
He facilitated local and foreign investments into the Nigerian economy in areas such as agriculture and its value chains, bitumen exploration and exploitation, and cement making.[7] He facilitated the establishment of the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub,[8] a rapidly growing industrial Hub located in Omotosho, Ondo State. The hub currently has one of Nigeria's largest ethanol producers, Nigeria's first MDF Factory, a large-scale wood processing factory, a textile factory, a paper manufacturing factory, an automobile assembly plant,[9] a wine distillery, amongst other existing production lines. The Industrial Hub was commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari on the 25th of February, 2020.[10]
Awards and honours[edit]
Chronicle magazine awarded Ajipe for his Excellence alongside the Olowa Of Igbara-Oke in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.[11] The Yoruba Redemption Foundation also bestowed an award on him in 2017.[12] In 2019, he rejected a nomination to receive an honorary doctorate degree in South Africa because of the xenophobic attack on other Africans in South Africa. Alex was recently honored by the sport writers association of Nigeria (SWAN)[13]
