Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro Steel City (Chinmaya Bokaro) is an English medium co-educational public school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, located in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The school is run by the Chinmaya Mission, a non-profit Hindu spiritual organization. The school motto is "Keep Smiling".
History[edit]
The school was established in 1977, with TR Krishnaswamy as the Director, and Mrs Hemlatha Biswas as the Principal.
Chinmaya was recognized by the British Council for its performance from 2014 to 2017, and was twice visited by former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
School Campus[edit]
The campus spans 8 acres, with two separate wings. The first wing holds the administrative offices and classrooms, along with the chemistry, physics, biology and computer science labs.
The newer second wing is 7 floors tall. It contains the updated laboratories dedicated to the natural and computer sciences, in addition to the library.
The school includes smart boards in every classroom. Every year the school celebrates its annual sports day and Chinmaya Family invites all the ex-students and staff for Annual Alumni Meet on 24th Dec.
